OFFICE ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANCE

ARE YOU WANTING STIMULATING PART-TIME WORK?

We are wanting an experienced multi-tasking mature administration officer with a high level of integrity & trust.

Sustainable Pty Ltd is a design & construction company dedicated to building communities with long term targets of zero environment impact by a responsible design lead approach and based in Karana Downs. If you are local and tired of travel and daily traffic community, and want an opportunity to step back from full-time corporate life, you may be who we are looking for. Over experienced persons will not be ruled out. 

Roles will include but not exclusive of:

  • Initial point of contact for client enquiries (good PR skills)
  • Work with CEO on all aspects & regular reporting & PA tasks
  • General administrative duties
  • Administer assistance for other staff members
  • Strong marketing interest & understanding importance of business development
  • Website updating & keeping regular articles submitted
  • Basic level of accounts management – wages, suppliers, data entry
  • Excited by Industry leadership and continual product improvement

The position would be 15-20 hours per week either taken as 3 days/week but flexible for the right person. 

In return, we will offer a friendly work environment, an attractive remuneration fitting of skills & flexibility with working hours.

CARPENTER / LEADING HAND OPPORTUNITY – FULL TIME

ARE YOU SICK OF ONLY USING HALF YOUR SKILLS?

We are looking for a versatile, qualified carpenter with an eye for producing high quality work and pushing boundaries.  You will have some experience across all aspects of carpentry.  You will have an interest in working with leading edge products and ideas as part of a team and be keen to learn.

HANDY MAN / LABOURER IN A CASUAL ROLE

This position is based out of our western suburbs’ Karana Downs office. 

This position would suit a person experienced in the landscaping and building industry & jack of all trades.

Your role will require at times to operate a small truck, utes, and to hold a minimum light rigid (LR) licence or ability to acquire one. Practical navigation skills / knowledge as well as a mechanically minded will be necessary. Opportunity to learn skills & experience to operate site earth moving machines.

As a part of Sustainable, you will be part of a team.

Our work is diverse and you will be working with a variety of trades – predominantly carpenters – so there are huge opportunities for you to grow your own skills.

You will need to provide your own transport (preferably Ute) & basic Tools such as: wheelbarrow, shovel, hammer, nail bag, spanner set etc.

This position is open to anyone who is keen for consistent work & is willing to contribute their knowledge as well as learn.  

Advancement possibilities exist to the right person. Overqualified applicants will not be overlooked.

CERTIFICATE III IN CARPENTRY – APPRENTICESHIP

ARE YOU SEEKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, focused and hard-working individual for the position to complete a carpentry apprenticeship with our team.

This position is based out of our western suburbs’ Karana Downs office in the Brisbane region & surrounding districts. 

This role would suit a person who is interested in exploring the building, construction and landscaping industry, who is prepared to commit to a role that can contribute to developing your personal skills, future employment credentials and possible long-term position advancements within the company as you grow.

FARM & HANDY MAN IN A CASUAL ROLE

This position is based at Emu Vale (4371) and Surrounding Areas – with possible travel between our Legume property; approximately 70km apart.

This position would suit a mature person with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as Farm/Handy Man with experience on a Farm being critical. 

You will be required to:

  • operate small & light rigid trucks, utes, tractors & machinery,
  • have practical navigation skills/ knowledge around a property, as well as,
  • being mechanically minded.

As a close-knit family & business, committed to our local surrounding communities, we like to form long term relationships. Thus, as a Farm & Handy Man, you will be part of a team.

Our work is very diverse and you will be working with a variety of trades so there is huge opportunity to grow your skills. This therefore means, that at times, you will be required to help in other property & infrastructure projects with other employees from similar and/or different trades, on and off the property.

You will need to provide your own transport (4WD Ute) & basic Tools such as: wheelbarrow, shovel, hammer, nail bag, spanner set etc.

You will be required to work a minimum of 3-days per week on average (sequentially). Accommodation can be provided if need be (you will be able to discuss these options during an interview).

This position is open to anyone that is keen for consistent work & is willing to learn.

We require that you have a Blue and White Card or be eligible to obtain these.
